Wednesday, Oct 11, (Nekoosa, WI) – The fourth regional TP Classic was contested at the amazing Sand Valley Resort in Wisconsin. The new Mike Keiser development is spread across a natural sand deposit in the middle of the state and resembles Bandon Dunes without the ocean. All of the professionals were in awe of the facility.
The design of the course with its sand base played hard, fast and firm. The top 5 players who qualified for the Taylormade National Championship at Pebble Beach next March had the course figured out. Congratulations to the champion, Jeff Sorenson shooting a 6 under (66) to set the new course record. Mark Voeller was one shot back with 67 (-5). Rounding out the final 3 qualifiers with a score of (-4) 68 was Travis Johns, Brad Heusterberg, and Sean McCarty.
One other highlight of the day, was a hole in one by qualifier, Travis Johns on the 5th hole… Congratulations!
Congratulations to the qualifiers and many thanks to everyone for their support. Without your participation the event could not have been a success!

Wednesday, October 18 (Scarsdale, NY) - on a beautiful autumn day in NY, 80 TaylorMade Staff Professionals came together to play the classic A.W. Tillinghast designed Quaker Ridge Golf Club, spend time with friends and compete for 5 spots in the National Championship held at Pebble Beach Golf Links.
Despite the firm, fast conditions and challenging greens, Adam Rainaud from Winged Foot Golf Club was able to shoot 69. His 1-under par round earned him a spot in the National Championship at Pebble Beach, a Breitling Superocean watch, Quaker Ridge Golf Club pin flag and his share of the 10k purse.
Finishing T-2nd place with even par rounds were Brice Busse of Metropolis CC and Mark Sheftic of Merion Golf Club. Greg Bisconti, John Guyton and Cory Muller tied for 4th place after 1-over par rounds of 71. This forced an exciting 3-for-2 sudden-death playoff where we saw Bisconti and Guyton make a couple of pars to punch their tickets to Pebble Beach.
Congratulations to Jeff Carlson, Thousand Oaks Golf Club and Phil Eyre, Hollow Brook Golf Club, who were selected as sponsor's exemption into the National Championship at Pebble Beach. Jeff was selected at Sand Valley and Phil was selected at Quaker Ridge through a blind draw of staff professionals who were recognized for their outstanding support of the TaylorMade brand through staff longevity and business accomplishments.
