Tour Diaries

The BMW Championship is the first PGA TOUR event following the official unveiling of the M1 driver last week in Connecticut. Considering the $10 million at stake for taking home the FedExCup title, expectations were reserved and we didn’t expect many of our Tour players to test the M1 until the offseason. Not only were players actively testing M1 in the few days leading up to Thursday’s opening round, but 16 athletes elected to officially put it in play – more than 20% of the field. That number makes M1 the #1 driver model in play at the BMW Championship only one week after its official launch. A remarkable accomplishment and true testament to the driver’s performance.

Here’s a look at some of the other numbers captured this week out at Conway Farms:

Jason Day’s longest drive with M1 during testing. (Day hit a 363 yard drive en route to his opening round 61 on Thursday).
